Abstract: | In the electricity system, there are two basic issues that might occur: open circuit fault and short circuit fault. In this thesis simulate and analysis (132/33/11 KV) Sofea substation according to shunt fault also enhancement performance this substation. The short circuit is the more dangerous because it can result in extremely high fault currents, which can cause significant effects such as electromechanical forces and thermal heating on equipment. Different kinds of faults are simulated at various buses of the substation according to ANSI and IEC standards . Connected transformer in parallel to increase load capacity and investigate effect parallel connection of transformer on short circuit current. Implemented two standard test system IEEE 10-Bus and IEEE 14-Bus then applied Sofea substation load flow and short circuit by ETAP Software (Electrical Transient Analyzer Program). The magnitude of S.C.C for the system under study in which all the transformers connected in individuals are considered as a reference to other connections of transformer . finally indicated bus 33KV and 11KV its operate at critical voltage rating so must be increase capacitor bank , short circuit current and load capacity increase in parallel connection . |
