Abstract

This research dealt with the study of methods of language development in “Maejam Rawdat Al-Lugha for Dr. Ahmed Al-Khani”, and the impact of evolution on words. The methods of language development in this lexicon is varied between the words resulting from the generation and the derivation from the old vocabulary, as well as the methods of deriving from other languages. It also examined the impact of the old dictionaries as well as linguistic development on author of this lexicon and his method. A series of updated and colloquial words were presented, and the research dealt with some of the vocabulary and its treatment in the light of old and modern lexicons
