dc.description.abstractThis is a critical study of the views presented by the rhetorician Al Shirazi on the rhetorical aspects of predicate attribution as elucidated in his famous book Sharh Talkhis Almiftah (Explanation of the Synopsis of the Key (793 AH.) is a book by Al Shirazi (c.757). It is a gloss on Al Qazwini’s book Talkhis Al Miftah (Synopsis of the Key), which is in turn a synopsis of Al Sakai's book Miftah Al Ulum (A Key to Sciences) (c. 739 AH). This study seek to analyze Al Shirazi’s methodology in analyzing this rhetorical phenomenon, his sources, and reasoning in replying to other authorities on this issue in Arabic rhetoric.en_US
