Abstract: This study involved the use of aqueous extract from grapes as reducing substance for the green synthesis of NiO nanoparticles (NiONPs). The morphology, crystalline structure and elementary composition were investigated through various characterisation methods, such as X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and UV–Visible spectroscopy, to demonstrate the synthesis of pure NiONPs. Strong anti-bacterial inhibitory activities of NiONPs have been examined by patho genic bacterial strains studied against Gram-negative bacterial strain Klebsiella pneumoniae and Gram-positive bacterial strain Staphylococcus aureus. Potential cytotoxicity against human breast cancer (MCF-7) and human brain cancer (AMGM5) cell lines was shown by NiONPs. NiONPs have shown excellent biological applications. Moreover, NiO nanoparticles exhbibit toxicity to be safely used for different biomedical applications
