| Abstract: | The paper sheds light on the use of the historical figures in E. L. Doctorow's Ragtime and depicts how the novelist incorporates three fictional families living in America with real historical figures which is a strategy by the novelist to expose how the interaction between such characters highlight the thin boundaries between fiction and historiography. |
