New Ramadi City Project between Theoretical Horizons and Application Problems

Abstract

The governorate of Anbar tries to construct a new city as a private investment project which lies at 23 km south-east of ramadi- the center of the governorate . This project is considered as a solution to the problems facing the current city of Ramadi . Therefor we are going to refer to the methods applied by world countries in order to decrease the population jam in their cities . An analysis is also made in order to ensure the place and function of the site of the new city of Ramadi , because the governorate plans to transfer its central institutions to the new site . This requires that it is necessary to start discussing the project with a planning team of various specializations in order to build a base of informations and statistics that will be useful to the decisions-makers working in the governorate before starting the implementation of the project . This is because there are vast areas of land neighbouring the current city and it is possible to fullfil the project on those areas , in order to bolster the functional activities of the current city of Ramadi instead of scattering the efforts and expenses on more than one site .
