Trends in urban population growth in the provinces of Iraq during the period (1977 - 2009) and future outlook until 2019

Abstract

The research aims to study the trends of urban growth in the provinces of Iraq during the period (1977 - 2009) and future outlook until 2019 and the factors influencing it, and detect changes that occurred to the growth trends of its population urban areas, and keep track of those changes that occurred during the temporal and spatial study and predict future trends for this change, the level of Iraq as a whole, according to the provinces, in order to draw a population policy, service and economic cope with demographic changes taking place at the level of urban areas, and that took different directions, as a result of political and economic conditions unstable, and change the population policy from a policy of raising the rate of population growth in the period (1977-1987) to a population policy based on non-interference in it, and leave it to the residents themselves after a year (1990), all of which greatly influenced the growth of the total population and the growth of urban population.المقدمة:
