Abstract: This study carried out to study effect of additives vitamin A and chlorophyll extract to reduce the negative effects of aflatoxin B1 on external qualitative characteristics of eggs shell of Lohman Brown chickens. The experiment was at animal production farm in college of agriculture, University of Anbar from 1st February, 2021 to 20th June, 2021. Total of Eighty-four laying hens lohman brown were used, 24 weeks of age randomly distributed to seven treatments with four replicates (3 hens/replicate). Treatments of experiment were as follow: T1 control without any additives, T2 was treated with aflatoxin (B1) 200 mg. kg-1 feed, T3 addition vitamin A mg. kg-1 feed, T4 addition chlorophyll extract 200 mg. kg-1 feed , T5 addition chlorophyll extract 100 mg . kg-1 feed + aflatoxin (B1) 200 mg. kg-1 feed, T6 addition chlorophyll extract 200 mg. kg-1 feed + aflatoxin (B1) 200 mg. kg-1 feed, T7 addition chlorophyll extract 300 mg. kg-1 feed + aflatoxin (B1) 200 mg. kg-1 feed. The results showed the superiority of addition treatment (chlorophyll extract 300 mg. kg-1 feed) in egg shell traits during production period (24-39) weeks compared with T2. Also, results indicated that birds fed diets treated with aflatoxin B1 recorded lowest values in External characteristics of Egg shell,. Moreover, chlorophyll proved that it can enhanced characteristics of Egg shell for laying hens and decrease negative role aflatoxin B1 in feeds.
