Abstract: | This research deals with spatial-temporal analysis using modern techniques that have become very effective for studying geomorphological phenomena using RS techniques and GIS software. The study conducted to measure and analyzes the geomorphological changes of the Euphrates river islands in the study area between Al- Ramadi and Al-Khalidiyah between 1990 and 2015, and showed a significant difference between these periods in the sizes, sizes and shapes of the river islands. The area of the river was 130,000 m 2 in 1990, increasing after ten years in 2000 to 170,000 m 2, and in 2015 it increased to twice the area in 1990 and reached 250,000 m 2 due to changes in the natural characteristics of the river and human activity. |
