Abstract: The preset study deals with the morphemetric characteristics of jawka valley basin and their impact on land use. The research is based on the hypothesis that the morphemetric characteristics home a great impact on land use. The stady has dyseneled on other scientific researches, documents and official reports in audition to typographic maps and space images in collecting date, systenatrcing and analyzing then an well as excreting results. the study could arrive of the following results : 1. The high degree of relief and the hardness of the region represented a main reason in the decrease of the housing estates in jawka valley basin. 2. The intensity of hydro erosion and land hardiness affected the thickness of soil. As a result, they affected the unsuitability of the region lands for limited scale cultivation. 3. The increase in the number of stream orders for jawka valley means that the land will be cut into a great number of valleys and rills. This implies a difficulty in paving means of trans partition and a difficulty in exploiting natural resources with the area of the basin
