dc.description.abstract | Abstract: The experiment was conducted in one of the private orchards at Al-Abayji township –Tarmiyah district, 55 km north of Baghdad, to study the effect of potassium and gibberellic acid on some characteristics of fruit quality and yield of date palm cv. Barhee during the period from March 2020 to September 2020, spraying potassium sulphate included, 0 (spray with distilled water), 1, 1.5 and 2%, on the other hand, spraying GA3 included, 0 (spray distilled water as control), 150 and 200 mg.l- 1. The results showed that potassium spray had a significant effect in increasing all fruits characteristics especially 2% compared to the control, while GA3 at 200 mg.l-1 spray had led to increasing fruit weight, bunch weight and yield, while decrease in total sugars, reducing sugars, non-reducing sugars and fruit dry weight but there was no significant effect on content of fruit potassium. | en_US |
