Abstract: Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) has been considered as an important part in logistics dealing. Thus, an appropriate chosen of vehicle routing plays a considerable factor to improve the economic interests and suitability of logistics projects. In this study, we review the recent work in one of the most traditional problems in logistics which is the VRP. The study manifests the objective of providing a clear and detailed discussion on applying genetic algorithm to the VRP to be optimally solved. It further presents many examples of applying genetic algorithm in finding optimal solutions to the VRP
