dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT The shade by using tree-planting is considered one of positive factors softening the climatic circumstances in dry areas especially in summer. The more the functions of using town land and its streets are, the more the absorption of sunny radiation, by town iand and its streets, is. This reflects the importance of tree-planting which decreases temperature of shaded areas in urban spaces. The study aims at investigating the positive trace resulted of trees by regulations of rates of climate elements. Consequently, the ability of shaded streets to soften climate of the study area in Al-Anduless district. The study uses locally climatic observations to measure temperature, relative humidity, and the speed of wind during day and night in variable heights during summer, and it arrives at the following: The operation of shade helps in decreasing maximum temperature to be (4-5) at the height (1.5) m, while the difference between temperature of shaded lands and sunny ones was huge. This difference arrives at more than (10). The shade also effects on changing the rates of relative humidity which arrives at the maximum rate at the height (1.5) m to be (51%), while it is increased to be (76%) at the air level touching some lands. | en_US |
