dc.description.abstract | Abstract This study was conducted in poultry farm, college of agriculture, Al- anbar university, during the period from 26 Feb., 2004 to 22 April.,2004.The objective of this study was to determine the effect of substitution yellow corn by sorghum with low tannin in the presence of plant proteins in some physiological and biochemical traits of broiler, A total number of 360 hybrid (FABRO) chicks were randomly distributed to four treatments with three replicates , Each replicate contained 30 birds, The different treatments of experiment were fed on diets with different levels of sorghum (0,50,55and 60%) substituted with yellow corn . The results revealed the following: There were no significant differences among Treatments in proportion weights of heart, pancreas, spleen, gizzard and proventriculus . Treatment 4 was significantly higher in proportion weights for liver and fabrisia gland compared with other treatments 2,3 and the treatment 4 did not a significantly different as compared with treatment 1and other treatments . Treatments 3,4 were significantly improved in RBC, Hb and MCHC as compared with treatments 2,1. Followed by treatment 4 in which PCV were significantly increase as compared with other treatments. There were no a significant differences among treatments in ESR, WBC, and HL. Treatments 4,3 were significantly decreased in blood plasma glucose as compared with treatments 2,1. Treatments 4,3 and 2 were significantly decreased in blood plasma cholesterol as compared with treatment1 . Followed by treatments 3,4 in which protein rate of blood plasma for broiler as compared with treatment1 at age 8 weeks. It was concluded from this study the possibility of substitution of sorghum in different level 50, 55, 60% instead of yellow corn in the broiler diets to improve some physiological and biochemical characters of broiler chickes. | en_US |
