Abstract: study area is located in Anbar Governorate within the provinces of Ramadi countryside, and it represents the northwestern tip of the in the plain of Euphrates, And the front of the flood plain of the Euphrates River. The study area were limited to the distance between Latitude (33°39"11'and 33° 23"25') east and two latitudes (43°31" 04'and 43°01"11') north, as vertical linear paths were taken on the course of the Euphrates ‎River to reveal the variations resulting from the variation of the ‎physiographic location. A semi-detailed survey was carried out to cover the total area of (34621.09) hectares by adopting the free survey method, Then the process of dissecting the soils in 40 location and characterizing them morphologically ‎according to the materials of their origins and Chemical properties were measured,The 1970 Storey equation was used for evaluating the suitability and classification of the study area lands for irrigated agriculture.Storie index indicators included (drainage, Alkalinity rate , Slope , Soil depth , Degree of profile development , texture). The results of the study showedThere are four class suitability which are (The second class (II) is good and occupies an area of 9970.45ha and 26 % of the area of study and the Third class (III) is Fair an area of 2762.36 ha and 8% of the area of study area, While The fourth class( IV)Poor an area the 7625.89 ha, whith21.8 ٪ % of the total area studiedand The fifth class (VI) is Very Poor an area of 7650.29 ha and 20.8 ٪ % of the area of study area . The results showed that the most important determinants that negatively affect agricultural production in the study area are (Degree of profile development , texture ,drainage and Soil depth), Therefore, work must be done to Processing the previous problems and before these areas reach degradation
