dc.description.abstract | The Purpose of the present study was to investigate the effects of some oils in increasing the activity of glyphosate (N Phosphonomethyl glycine) applied against Common reed [Phragmites australis ( Cav.)] and Cogongrass (Imperata cylindrical L. ) Results indicated that addition mineral oil or diesel oil or vegetable oil to spray solution were significantly increased activity of the glyphosate when applied at rate 0.72 kg ai / 100 L water . The highest percentage of control achieved to Common reed and Cogongrass were 91.7% , 84.3 % respectively, when mineral oil was added to the spray solution. However , average percentage of new regrowth did not exceed than 4% , 17% the both weeds respectively, after 6 months of treatment as compared to 51.6% , 62.7% control and to 49.3% , 73% of new regrowth with glyphosate alone . | en_US |
