Abstract: The research on field experiments is conducted (1 March 2021 - 1 January 2022) in the woody plant canopy / Department of Life Sciences / College of Education for Pure Sciences / University of Anbar, and the second part included laboratory experiments that are conducted in the laboratories of the Department of Life Sciences / College of Education for Pure Sciences / University of Anbar to study the competitive capacity between two types of mealybugs, Nipaecoccus viridis and Planococcus citri (Pseudococcidae: Hemiptera) by analyzing the active compounds of the insecticidal ethanolic extracts of the two mentioned species using a built-in gas chromatography device with mass spectrometry. Some chemical tests are conducted for the ethanolic extracts of the studied species, such as diagnosing the active compounds using the qualitative analysis of the chemical compounds in the plant samples using the GC-Mass technique. The results of the analysis of the ethanolic extract of both sexes before and after the approach showed the presence of effective compounds in large proportions, which are Benzene, (1-propylnonyl)-, Benzene, (1-butylheptyl)-, Benzene, (1-ethyldecyl)-, Benzene, (1- methylnonyl)-, Benzene, (1- pentylheptyl)-) as one of the main compounds in the extracts, as it is found to have important biological activities for medical applications. The compounds varied in the time of their appearance, and there are compounds that recurred in different periods of time.
