Abstract: | The purpose of this research is to clarify how to prepare poly methyl metha acrylate from purification of monomer and expulsion of oxygen from it and immersion in a water bath at 70 degrees for an ( 1 hour) , and after polymer preparation, drying and grinding, it was diagnosed using infrared spectroscopy( FT-IR ) . Then poly hydroxamic acid was prepared from the prepared polymer from a poly reactor such as methyl metha acrylate with hydroxyl amine hydrochloride in an alkaline medium(pH= 12-13 ) using sodium hydroxide with heat escalation at a temperature of 70 C̊ for a period of an hour and the resulting compound was diagnosed as poly (methyl metha acrylate). Hydroxamic acid using infrared spectroscopy ( FT-IR) . Then the manganese ion retention capacity was determined by poly (such as methacrylate) hydroxamic acid, as well as studying the effect of time on the manganese ion retention capacity, as well as studying the effect of the acid function on the holding capacity of poly (such as methacrylate) hydroxamic acid, and studying the effect of temperature. It was found that the holding capacity increases with the increase in time and decreases with the increase in temperature. It is highest when the acidity function is ( pH= 6 ) . The Lankmayr and Freundlich equations were also used to study the sequestration isotherm using different concentrations of the studied ions mediated by poly(methyl metha acrylate) hydroxamic acid at 25C̊ temperature. The equations of Arrhenius and Vant Hof were also used to study the sorption isotherm using different concentrations of ion mediated by poly (methyl metha acrylate) hydroxamic acid at 25 C̊. Automatic and physical sorption. Key words: hydroxamic acid , Poly hydroxmic acid , Adsorption, the sequestration isotherm , sorption capacity . |
