dc.description.abstract | A field experiment was conducted at the agriculture season 2003- 2004 in Amiria Regon at Al-Anbar governorate region in soil classified series Typic – Torrifluvent with silty loam texture. Randomly Complete Block Design (RCBD) was used for split unit experiment to study the effect of sulfur levels additions in some soil and plant characteristics under flood and drip irrigation system. which contained five levels of sulfur (S0 , S1 , S2 , S3 , S4) and two irrigation system (Drip , flood in three replicate (3 x 2 x 5) . The results showed that : A significant effect of sulfur levels addition and irrigation system in : * Increasing phosphorous aviability in soil and the level (4 mecagram sulfur. hectar-1 ) achieved highest quality of available phosphorus (16.96 , 18.20 mg.kg-1 soil) to flood and drip irrigation system respectively . * Increasing Potassium availability in soil and the level (4 mecagram sulfur. hectar-1 ) achieved highest quantity of valuable Potassium (421 mg.kg-1 soil) under flood irrigation system and the level (3 mecagram sulfur. hectar-1 ) achieved highest quantity of available potassium (472 mg .kg-1 soil) under drip irrigation system. * Increasing sulfate availability in soil and the level (4 mecagram sulfur. hectar-1 ) achieved highest quantity of available sulfur (415 , 540 mg.kg-1 soil) to flood and drip irrigation system respectively. * Increasing nitrogen uptake in plant curds and the level (4 mecagram sulfur. hectar-1 ) achieved highest quantity of nitrogen uptake (86.9 kg.hectar-1 ) under flood irrigation system and the level (3 B mecagram sulfur. hectar-1 ) achieved highest quantity of nitrogen uptake (108.2 kg.hectar) under drip irrigation system. * Increasing Phosphorous uptake in plant curds and the level (3 mecagram sulfur. hectar-1 ) achieved highest quantity of phosphorous uptake (28.1 , 37.0 kg.hectar-1 ) to flood and drip irrigation system respectively. * Increasing Potassium uptake in plant curds and the level ( 3 mecagram sulfur. hectar-1 ) achieved highest quantity of potassium uptake (170.6 kg.hectar-1 ) under flood irrigation system and the level (4 3 mecagram sulfur. hectar-1 ) achieved highest quantity of potassium uptake (192.2 kg.hectar-1 ) under drip irrigation system . * Increasing sulfate uptake in plant curds and the level (4 mecagram sulfur. hectar-1 ) achieved highest quantity of sulfate uptake (55.4 , 65.3 kg.hectar-1 ) drip irrigation system respectively. * Increasing dry matter product , and the level (3 mecagram sulfur. hectar-1 ) achieved highest dry matter yield (4.81 , 5.69 megagram.hectar-1 ) to flood and drip irrigation system respectively). * Increasing wet yield , and the level (3 mecagram sulfur. hectar-1 ) achieved highest wet yield (68.7 , 73.3 mecagram . hectar-1 ) to flood and drip irrigation system respectively. * Also increasing of water use efficiency under drip irrigation system to (62.2 kg. meter3 ) compare with flood irrigation which achieved (38.9 kg.meter3 ) | en_US |
