Abstract: | An experiment was conducted in Al-Ramadi city/ Al-Anbar province during the growing seasons 2009 and 2010 to investigate the effect of foliar spray with Yeast suspension, Licorice roots extract and Amino Quelant-K compound on some growth and yield traits of Black Hamburg grape cv, trained as arbors, Winter pruning was performed at the middle of January for both seasons by leaving 8 canes, each contains 15 buds, Also, a few spurs of 2 buds were left a renewal spurs, Study factors were spraying three concentrations (0, 5 and 10 g/l) , (0, 2 and 4 g/l) and (0, 2 and 4 ml/l) of Yeast suspension, Licorice roots extract and Amino Quelant-K, respectively, Treatment applications were performed at three times, the first was two weeks before flowering, the second was within a week after fruit set, meanwhile the third was after three weeks from the second one, Treatments were distributed in Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) a factorial experiment with three replicates, Each vine represent a single experimental unit, therefore 81 vines were involved in this study. Results revealed that clusters no, per vine was significantly affected by spraying Yeast suspension and Amino Quelant-K only in the second season, as the treatments 10 g/l and 4 ml/l of Yeast suspension and Amino Quelant-K respectively gave the highest number of clusters 51,19 and 50,04 cluster/vine compared with the control treatments (0 g/l and 0 ml/l of Yeast suspension and Amino Quelant-k, respectively) which gave the minimum number of cluster/vine (47,85, 47,67 cluster/vine, respectively), Fertility coefficient was affected by study factors in the second season, as the treatments 10 g/l, 4 g/l or 4 ml/l of Yeast suspension, Licorice roots extract and Amino Quelant-K, respectively showed the highest values of 1,24, 1,20 and 1,22 respectively, Treatments application were significantly affected plant leaf area, leaf content of chlorophyll and cane content of nitrogen and carbohydrate. |
